Whoo!
Yeah, I can do veggie antipasti
I will also do wine & start looking now for sales if that's amenable-- I know we want both white & red-- anyone want to chime in on preferences?
again, i'll bring white tablecloths for the tables, and
1. white bean/artichoke dip (hayley i'm hoping you'll bring more yummy crusty bread for this?)
2. simple pesto veggie tortellini dish
3. finger food chocolate things (tbd) for desert
*jen- thanks for looking for wine. i know most people like red, but if you could pick up a bottle of cheap riesling, i'm liking the sweet white wine these days. :) thanks!
I can roast two chickens Friday night. I would presume that JJJ and John (would that make them the J4?) won't be using the oven, or I can do it at 8. Will plan on bringing and executing in their entiretly unless otherwise instructed, mon capitain.
A note on desert: Tirimisu might be too rich(?) for this type of night, but the sweetened marscapone cheese mixed with whiped cream (to lighten it) with berries and a little whipped cream would be supper yummy. Just a thought.
Sounds yummy! We'll stay out of the oven & stick to grill & stovetop Friday night-- have at it Mamachicken!

I ordered a case of Frascati (light white wine) at Clark's last year, and I thought it was a very nice white choice. And it got drunk. So I can get on that again this year. Also--I can handle roasting the chickens, Ea. I will bring greens and herbs and fresh vegetables to grill on Friday night and then marinate and chill.
On wine... I have discovered a new wine to my liking Montepulcianno Abruzzo - it's a grapey red from the territory next to Tuscany, and where my family name originated! It sells for about $10 a bottle in the U.S. I will snag a number of bottles to bring.
I'll do caprese salad too. My favorite summer food!
Does anyone have means to contact Jaylin about Tuscan lamb that was so freaking deliscious? Or maybe she has another amazing idea she wants to unleash on us?
Ea has left some messages with Jay about the dates of PH this year, but she hasn't heard whether or not she's coming. I'll ask Ea if she can mention the lamb. Also, I could bring some as well if Jay can't or isn't coming.
Can we skip the lamb? I must admit that it freaks me out just a tad....
