Random NON-food items, like pretty stuff for Tuscan Feast Night

Hey--it just occurred to me that it might be nice to know who can bring what for decorative and recreational, group-relevant non-food items. Like: candles/candelabra for Tuscan Feast night, table cloth for TFN, plastic water spraying machines, flotation devises, etc.

Anyone?

I'll bring an air compressor for inflating flotation devises;
One raft in a box that I hope still works

Is an Aerobed needed this year? Ea tells me ours leaks, so I don't think we should bring ours.

Yay!! YES!! I think Anna offered tableclothes in an earlier blog. I'll bring lots of little bowls and serving dishes and some serving utensils & a large platter or two.
We have some waterguns we will bring
John is bringing his tent & air mattress, just in case
I'm bringing my largish folding table for TFN & I will most certainly be bringing a water filter after my tummy bout following Winter Hill (certainly not confirmed as the culprit, but I ain't rulin' it out.)
Music: ipod & ipod stereo
My usual motley assortment of odds and ends and first aid.
2 folding chairs
toaster oven
gigantic electric skillet
percolator
a little cold cuts for fast feeding of children when dinner runs late (all natural variety)
pepper jack cheese
assorted batteries
Jen's graph paper
Jaylin's footbath tub
I have sadly lost the freezer mugs-- I am hoping they got left at Winter Hill along with the captains bell
We have a few versions of Catan, a couple new games, the playstation (there will be limits-- Stash just really wants to show Av some of his games)
some Simpsons episodes
a singing treefrog
a farting unicorn
Qtips for both bathrooms
1 multimat (I've lost the others!!)
the kitchen sink
extra toothbrushes
a 2-quart frozen drink maker
a few unmentioned items of miscellany
all my lovin'

John is letting me fill his truck, the sweetie.

JJJ, please don't forget to pack yourself. As much as I like your toaster oven, I'd be sad if you weren't there to operate it.

I'm bringing some water squirting devises, and a few inner-tubes. I'll bring a few board games, too. And bocce.

Hoping the Sylvans will return with bubble-making equipment, and if they need any help, let me know.

Playstation? Avery said he might bring his Xbox, too. As eager as I am to see stasha's games and play the new Grand Theft Auto on Avery's, I am hoping we can limit the time in front of the boob tube considerably. Maybe, say, only during the bonus days? Just an idea. God knows I'll be a hypocrite about it the moment the Mario Brothers appear.

Also, in the interest of full disclosure, I've been hanging out with Theo far too much over the last few months, and I'm making an effort to be around him less. (Note: LESS, not completely abandon him.) To that end, I'll be bringing only a fraction of his goodness to PH this year (in comparison to previous years). Feel free to make up the difference, if you so desire!

Jen and I are in for the candelabra. We'll also bring Bananagrams - more fun than a word game should ever be.

On the brunch tip: does anyone happen to have a belgian waffle maker? JennyJJ offered to bring a regular one, but I feel like she's already bringing plenty of supplies. Anyone? Anyone?

Don't have a waffle maker but I was thinking about bringing the panini press with post Tuscan leftovers in mind. Crusty bread, herbs, soft cheese...pressed and melted into gooeyness....

I am hungry now.

We are also bringing a compressor but I am air matresses-less.

I am also not finding, thus far, my boxes from PH last year. They must be burried. I may not be able to locate old photo books, etc.

We are bringing a two gallon thermos thing (was assuming the kegorator is coming/all set and this would be a conveyance for having a supply of beer pondside).

two coolers

folding chairs

water deployment weaponry

also to chime in on Marks response--I will allow Avery to bring whatver he likes--BUT yes, conditions, time limits etc. I would love to see minimal or no TV during the weekend (unless by group consensus to watch a movie or something). That's just my preference. During bonus days, Mark and Stasha and Avery can be judicious and reasonable with the video gaming. can't they?

I agree with time restrictions-- we are supposed to get rain, otherwise I'm all for shoving them out the door during bonus days as well! But yeah, I think a moratorium for the weekend is a good thing, more relaxed on rules during the fewer-people days.
Mark-- you are so sweet-- I've added myself to my list-- thanks for the reminder! I may have to let Stash drive & strap myself to the roof, but I'll be there!! I LOVE inner tubes!!

I have prezzies for Otie and max-- Max can have his outright, but should I save Otis's for the auction? Will he be bidding? Or Bedding?

The big shipment arrived today & Stash is BESIDE himself with anticipation. He has tomorrow to focus on auction item. He seriously will NOT stop talking.

Mim-- SO love the candelabra-- so nicely featured in last year's pictures--let me know about the waffle iron-- it's not so big-- Belgian is better, but in a pinch...

Ea-- Panini???? Frickin' YEAH. Do you want me to add a pound of provolone to the deli list?

oh my yummy goodness.
belgian waffles. board games. i'm due! bananagrams. fun. never heard of it.

i can drum up a game from here too (?)
I lOVEd that wacky celebrity one we did last yr. (martini anyone?) i still see ea doing britney spears and jjj and john doing mind melds over some obscure person (?) none of us knew?!

BRING magazines. (does this go without saying?)

i am hoping to bring some BEad/Jewel supplies, for work and fun - as my crafty play thing. (if we have time). if others want to join, and bring their stuff- we could play. trade beads. adorn. that sort of thing.

i talked to paloma today. one of us (with call into mimi) is going to ask mimi if they have a good grill yet- or if we need to bring theirs again... (thanks for loaning in past years palo/rob)

we dont have tons of room in the honda with us and max and the guitar- but will bring tablecloths, indeed. if it looks stormy. we can do the feast inside and romp it up like a good italian family on a stormy summer afternoon. less lifting anyhow. (the bright side)...

cant wait to see you all.

Welp, I will say here that one completely "randon non-food item" Rob and I were seriously contemplating bringing for a few bonus days is Quinn..
If that did happen we would definitely need to ask for help limiting TV stuff and probably a lot of other stuff to to make it work for him- I know in the past you all have expressed your willingness to help us make it work...of course this morning Quinn was so "off" that , Rob said, "No f'n way"...so I just don't know, Quinn's behavioral/sensory/autism stuff is totally consuming and can be overwhelming on many levels. But we feel so sad not being able to share PH with him and have him there..so we'll see...

Of course I am on for bubble stuff and we have a few small water toys. I will bring all the kegorator parts I have- I have no idea what shape they are in- they are boxed up- right now I have too much going on to unbox them, sorry.
Anna do you have the tripoly mat? We will bring the grill if need-be.

I would be totally psyched about the limited TV viewing on all accounts. I am sure I am bringing other stuff but my mind is a blank right now!!
xoxo

I'm glad you're considering having Quinn join us for bonus days. I hope when it's time that it feels doable.

Me too on the Quinn front-- let us know needs!

Anna B said...

me too! i'd love it if we could have Quinn there ;)

i think with laptops, there's room to have dvds in rooms, etc rather than the t.v. on in the main room.
(although it IS the olympics weekend, which is kinda fun, if we pick and choose?) just a thought.

i dont have the tripoly mat..

oh- and i just looked up the farmhouse phone again, note it if youre on yr way and need to ringaling.
