Kid food

Hey there--let's talk kid food for a moment. Here's a list of basics:

peanut butter
sliced bread
jam
hummus
carrots
cucumbers
canned soups/ravioli
granola
yogurt
nuts, peanuts (trail mix stuff)
rice
small pasta

Is anyone already planning to get any of this (for snack and breakfast shopping, for instance)? Let's coordinate.

I've entered some of these things in the common kitchen items-- check in there for stuff that occurs to you, but I can tell you off the top of my head I have the following already packed:
organic smooth peanut butter, jelly & jam, some boxes & bags of pasta, rice, bread, trail mix (has M&Ms in it tho...)

I also have a bunch of boxes of Annies mac n cheese, if you can tolerate the processedness of it...

And yogurt is on Ea's list, and granola on mine...

You mean we can't just feed them drumsticks and twinkies all weekend?

ok then, I am bringing hummus, juice boxes, more Annies (Quinn's favorite food in the world). I bought canned nuts, pretzels, z-bars, granola bars under the general snack heading. And cheese, crackers, grapes and apples.

I have more fruit coming as well-- bananas, oranges for general & then some berries & melon for brunch. A couple of cans of chicken noodle soup (hearty campbells), green beans...

I'm bringing small pasta, cukes, carrots, goldfish and some canned things (spaghettios, soup, chili, etc.)

I am not sure I am allowed on this thread anymore! Avery is sort of beyond needing seprate food, pretty much. His favorite snack foods are whole bags of frozen corn and peas. (tho he would, happily eat twinkies and drumsticks all weekend).

Maybe I can convince him to make french bread pizza for the boys mon or tues as a treat.

i guess i will have to let him be 15 and be in the man-food category!
