Report from "The Bosom"

Rob, Quinn and I have returned from our pre- Porter Hill vacation- it was sweet (when the sun was out). The water was great! Here's a picture of the boys.
Note- There was NO grill...I'll email Nick and ask him what is up with that.
Pray for sun!

Crap! We'll bring ours-- not ideal, but it gets hot!

Oh, the anticipation.

Paloma: I thought we'd been using your portable grill for the past few years?

I wasn't sure that our grill was the only working one up there-I couldn't remember...but sadly our grill isn't working these days....

Rob tells me he wants to try to fix our grill...also I bought a smaller propane grill last winter during the power outages- he reminded met that could work- it is not huge- how much capacity do we need?

Hayley said...

Capacity: good question. Enough room to grill, say, ten chicken breasts at once? or a dozen ears of corn?

wait--does JJJ's grill fit the bill?

I'll see if I can't get our grill up and running. I think it is just the hose.

Hi All,

I've got a decent sized charcoal grill that I can bring up fairly easily (I think). I should be able to take the legs off & fit it in the Corolla. Let me know if I should try that out or if charcoal is just way to 19th century for us...

Oooh. I hate typos.

I meant to say "way TOO 19th century" not "way to 19th century."

I think my gas grill will be fine-- we just inherited it from Mom & Dean-- it's definitely big enough to do that much chicken at once. If someone else has a burning desire to bring a small one as well, it couldn't hurt to have more capacity, but I think we'll be fine with mine. John's bringing the F250 anyway for the kegerator & all my crap (less tetris!)
