remember: bring auction items from home sweet home

hey all, i just wrote a great rant about being thrifty and bringing items from home, and it all got erased! dangnabit.
alas-- it was somehting like this- no ones got much Moola to spare, so consider, in your auction items, bringing along something from home, a piece of art on your wall, a favorite book of yours with a ribbon around it, a nice bowl, a toy thats great but that your kid doesnt really use, a recycled porter hill auction item. anything goes!
i have always loved jjj's grab bag with great treasures from her house. maybe we should all try the grab bag motif! fun, and mysterious. what antiuqey thing would marks grab bag have? what tshirt would mim part with?  a dvd of averys recent films (ah we knew him when...)? what NYC gem would william bring (a ricky's grab bag?) what animal hide might jaylin and alden contribute?what kind of crazy shit would avery and ea bring as they pack up their house? i say, dont dumster it -dont move it  - PORTER HILL AUCTion it!  (uh, but within reason... i hear paloma in my head.. dont bring total CRAP!) :)

find a cool box, give clues, pick a theme... scour your home for things of interest  that you can part with. add a $5 bill and a button, whatever! just generating ideas to make money and not spend too much on auction items. reduce, reuse, recyle, reinspire. and uh... save more of money for fresh mozzerella and wine!
