Rooms, Rooms, the Magical Fruit...the more you eat...

Okay--food stuff will be worked out over the next week (Common Kitchen sheet still to come).
Meal Captains will still be needed for Fri Dinner and Sat picnic, even if some or all of the food will be brought or pre-prepared...etc. More to come later this week (fill out chore sheet with a minimum of three chores if you haven't already)

Now...Rooms. Knowing where everyone is going to settle is key to sanity. So let's just get this settled now...should be easy since our numbers are modest, believe it or not. Go ahead and put out there what would work best for your configuration--should we try that first? List an alt room if you are flexible.

Rooms: First Floor-

Queen with Sink
Twins
(Study-which we'd rather keep a study)

Second Floor:

Barn Side-
Two double beds
Two twin beds (former crib room)

Pond Side-
Double Bed
Double in room that used to be a single (aka Julie's Room)
Architect's Suite

Outside:

BAT* One
BAT Two

Respondez vous in the thread. Queue the Stones--you can't always get what you want, but you might just get what you need....

*BAT=Big Ass Tent, aka "Taj Ma Tent"

Me? I will be in a BAT. Will likely buy a new air mattress too, since I fell i love with Mim's last year. Am happy to share accommodations--in the tent or even closer. Will cuddle and try not to snore.

As enticing as that offer is (cuddling sans snoring), the big guy & I would love a room in the house. Any room will do except the one with 2 singles. Stash will tent it in his own digs.

Thanks for getting this going, Ea (love the flow chart). Our request would be the barnside room with two doubles or the architect suite.

Wow. Awesome blog redesign! Sorry I've been out of the loop. Having lice and trying to be an artist (are the two connected?) has been causing me to apologize to everyone else with whom I have commitments. I think Mark and Otis and I would be happy in either the barn side room with 2 double beds or the architect's suite--don't care which. Will catch up and respond more to food and chore questions. Thanks so much for everything that you've been doing.

max is a bit of a wanderer at night, and he still gets up 1-2x a night- so with those steep curvy stairs, i think i'd vote for either one of the downstairs rooms. either the queen with sink or the two twins, (which we did last yr with a tent outside, and that worked).

we could also do the two twins upstairs, maybe with a blow up bed? i think the double upstairs pond side is too small for us. of course, either architect suite or two doulbe would work too. so- any room but the two smallest doubles pond side upstairs.

thanks all- xo

I'd like a bed inside. Beyond that, not too picky.

hi all,
I'm thinking that with so many campers, and jeff lori at home this yr, we may be in good shape with rooms...

i know ea did put this post out there, but dont know that we had any thoughts on who would actually come up with assigning. in interest of time, allow me to propose a floor plan. (am i forgetting someone?)

how about this:

p/r/q and m/h/o- coin toss for arch or 2 doubles upstairs. (avery can coin toss tomorrow am)

mim- smaller double pondside upstairs

jjj/john- corner pondside double upstairs

wm/peter- two twins upstairs or downstairs (their preference)

anna/max/chris- downstairs queen

the "other" two twins up or down: (depending on wm/peter pref) perhaps jaylin and babe if/ when they come ,( the beds push together pretty well) and otherwise, maybe this could be a room where some of the campers could have an inside space if needed, to keep some stuff, change, etc, stay in case of rain, etc.

i feel like i'm forgetting someone...?
how does this sound?
xoxo

Thanks, Anna. No need for a coin toss: the architect suite worked really well for us last year- this year we are up for trying the double barn side.

We'd be very happy with the corner double upstairs!
