The google doc for self-selected chores has been updated--or at least wiped clean from last year. I tweaked some of the meal plans to sort of reflect what was posted below about JJJ and J doing a grill night early evening Saturday, etc. So y'all can start dropping your names in as you like or updating meal captain responsibility or themes as appropriate. If you are reading this you have the permission to edit it, add notes, etc.
To have the coverage that we like, we will typically need at least 4 people on clean up for major meals-so overall, we are each likely to have 4-5 separate job responsibilities throughout the weekend. as right now we stand at 15 committed people (including teens, not including ankle biters)
Sign you early and you can pick how your weekend commitments look! If you need a reminder of a what a job entails exactly, detailed notes are below (on that spreadsheet) for each chore. Please take whatever commitment you sign up for seriously...like being on time for your meal team or being thorough about your house or camp walking. All of us doing our small bit means the whole big thing runs smoothly and you can count on the other bits getting done and not having to worry about those! Isn't that neat'o? Community is cool. PH Community is the best. :) Rah, Rah, said Ea the cheerleader, devolving into the third person because she was at work for over 12 hours straight.
Ugly spreadsheet link: (you should have also gotten a link on your email today, hopefully)

Whoo hoo! We should also be updating the lists for common items and Friday night potluck. After thinking about it some more, we're rethinking the burgers & dogs for Friday night-- we're never sure what state the grill will be in when we arrive, so we'll probably get back to bringing something that doesn't require one.
As for Saturday picnic, it kinda sounded like mim would rather stay on Saturday picnic than get up for brunch-- I'm waiting to hear back what Mim & Chris want to do before I set my chore in stone! (We don't care which meal we do)
Love and fig jam--JJJ
Thanks for initiating the google doc chore list, Ea! Will git ON it.
JJJ: agreed about the grill--always iffy, particularly on night #1. The potluck worked well last year--we can call bring a dish to share.
