T-Shirts!

So, here's the design I did for the front of this year's shirt. The back of the shirt is posted below. As discussed earlier in this blog, the idea is for the shirt to be black with this design in color. As you all know, the more colors in a shirt design, the more expensive the print job. This shirt has six colors in the front design (white, light grey, dark grey, red, blue and green), which was necessary to have some semblance of a rainbow in the design. Alternately, I designed the shirt with smoke coming out the back (instead of the rainbow), but it was generally less clear that the design was a spoof of the Floyd cover.

My ballpark guess for shirt cost (and obviously this depends on size and kind of shirt) is between $12-$15.

While I can handle the printing locally (though wouldn't be upset if someone else wanted to take over), I don't have the financial means to cover the print costs. JennyJJ has helped in the past.

The printers I use (Pacific Printing in Northampton) can order any kind of shirt we want, and I'll check to see if there's an online catalog available. In the meantime, please note quantities and style preferences below in the comments.

A note on the design on the back. The idea is to list all previous shirts and years. This was my best recollection, but I could have gotten things a bit wrong. If so, let me know, along with any other comments you might have.

I love it! Need to find us some thin cotton Ts for the girlie girls in the crowd.

Awesome!! Love it!!!!!

For fit & fabric, my favorite T was the girlie floatin' one-- scoop neck, loose fit-- loved it-- can still wear it! If something like that isn't available, I'd like a guy's T-shirt.

I'm happy to call in & leave my credit card with Brian or whomever, if you have someone you want to use. I'm no expert on clothing, but I'm also willing to try to get it done up here-- there's no advantage to that other than no one else having to deal with it, but I'm willin', just sayin'. If someone else wants to make arrangements, I can pay the bill also.

Working on the alternative apparel wholesale resource...if you are interested, start looking at the tshirt options (style, weights, etc) available at their website and I can fill in pre-printing prices in the next day or so.

Currious, Mark, if you could get your printing guy to quote printing cost differences for rainbow verses less than rainbow...just curious. :Love having the barn honored!!!:

unfortunately, they won't let you view their catalog online without signing in as a wholesaler-- yikes.

You can still see their main tshirt collection (retail) to get ideas about styles. i am working at reinstating our wholesaler status.

Ah-- thank you-- I see it now! Very pretty!
Personally, I'm more comfortable with a simple 100% pre-shrunk, relaxd fit cotton, like Anvil #652, or this one: http://www.customink.com/styles/bella-ladies-v-neck-t/173100

I LOVE THE DESIGN MARK!

I personally would be willng to pay to get the real full rainbow colors if that was an option - is that what you were getting at, Ea?

I like either of the styles JJJ picked and but will need to know which style we are going with before I can give sizes for all 3of us. Thanks for working on this!

sorry for not chiming in sooner. i think we want an average mens large tee for chris- whatever style you go with .

where are things at with timeframe?
we are super low budget- but i happened to find a new womens black tee and a childs black tee for $1 each for max and i. i'll plan to send them to mark on monday to add to the mix. hopefully this can bring our costs a bit lower- if you dont mind delineating- that would be great.
re; my 2c on rainbow printing. i fear it will add so much money to do a 7 or 8 color print on such a small run of shirts. From what i recall in printing- the more the colors, you need separate screens for each one (ie each color requires the shirt to go thru each time), and from what i recall with black- they often had to do a white underneath to make the colors pop. mark- if you're game- Get a quote, but i worry it would make the printing costs very high per shirt. but i could be wrong, depends on the printer, etc. thanks for all your work on this! the design looks great. i love the year descriptions on the back!! :)

dude! nice job, its about time the barn was honored for all its inspiration, and time spent..

im in..i like the long sleeves, they get more use, MEDIUM for me. i support the color rainbow, but i get the cost issue..

thought...could it be white shirt, with black square (ie album cover), that may help bring down the cost, and to anna's point about having white base...not sure if that complicates it further...

any way, looking forward to wearing shirt, in the location...speaking of, who is bringing theo??
