Anyone want to chime in on art supplies or potential group projects?
I'll bring a small amount of inks/ paper to do some printing with our medium. Indigo dye? are we lost without Jaylin? I do have items to dye, but not sure if someone is confident with making the vat of dye or if anyone else wants to? Youth art: I am getting some solar paper for nature prints. Will bring some origami kits as well. Others?

Also- are there any coordinated efforts towards a youth adventure? Did i hear something about Avery and kelly doing this? i've plum forgotten but thought i remembered something....
I can bring some origami paper and instruction books, paints and papers, and PTI supplies and needled felting, all of which kids can partake in. I think I'll bring tie dye stuff too, as Otis is into it (or has been in the past). We haven't talked about a planned adventure for children, but I was kind of thinking Jenn's taking them to Bromley will suffice. Paloma is bringing a piñata. Jo had the idea of some sort of underwater snorkel finding things and maybe haiku writing. Also: we will have some fun games. I would be glad for a game of Carcassone with the bunch.
Sounds great Hayley. Thanks!
Mark is also planning (with Otis) to film a movie with the kids.
For my birthday last year, my mother sent me Woad seeds, which are plants the French used in their blue dying before Indigos. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Isatis_tinctoria
Since I didn't have access to the climate of the south of Frances this year, I was not able to plant and harvest enough Woad for us to experiment with; however, as part of the gift, we are fortunate that in addition to the Woad seeds and cards illustrating the history of plant based fabric dying in France before the 20th century*, she also sent a package of the same Indigo dye we've used before, so if someone can procure the Plastic Bucket and help with the accouterments we can be in business again rather easily.
* Why, yes, in my family theme gifts are this complex and layered. However, this year involved no Latin, so it was a rather whimsical theme, considering. In the package were also some fabric crayons, which are also in my PH box.
Great Ea. sounds good. i think i can procure a BUCKET. thanks!
Rob- that's exactly what i was thinking of- a movie with the kids... i couldn't remember who was leading the charge! awesome.
